The Department of Justice Will Not Charge Matt Gaetz in Alleged Sex Trafficking Allegations, But the Damage Has Already Been Done
How the Deep State Wreaked Havoc on the Congressman and His Family with Accusations of Sex Trafficking
Florida Congressman, Matt Gaetz, seems to find his way into the limelight more often than most. Whether it be his polarizing phraseology at congressional hearings or the plethora of hit pieces written about him, he is no stranger to controversy.
A long-standing controversy that has plagued both Congressman Matt Gaetz and his family involves the serious allegation of sex trafficking that was levelled against him in 2020. However, breaking news this week indicates that the Department of Justice has officially cleared Gaetz of all such allegations. In light of this development, it is worth delving into this highly contentious matter with greater detail.
From the inception of his campaign for congress in 2015, Matt Gaetz has been a vocal critic of the Military Industrial Complex and the Deep State, consistently exposing their plethora of corrupt practices. Central to his controversial stance is his ongoing effort to limit their power, a position he has maintained with unwavering commitment.
As a result of his prominent stance against the Deep State, a hit piece was released by the New York Times in 2021 alleging that Gaetz was involved in a large sex trafficking scandal. This was part of a much larger, wider spanning probe being conducted by the Department of Justice. At that time, the New York Times sourced the story to “three people briefed on the matter. It contained no evidence that Gaetz was guilty of any crimes, or that he was even about to be charged with a crime. It even conceded “the extent of his criminal exposure is unclear”.
Despite all of this, it seemed that none of it mattered as liberals, Republicans in name only (RINOs), and the media establishment persistently dragged Matt Gaetz's name through the mud in the following years. His integrity was repeatedly called into question, with baseless accusations of pedophilia and trafficking tarnishing his reputation.
Through it all, Gaetz denied these suspicious allegations, claiming that not only are they false, but they are part of a larger extortion attempt against him and his family. The mastermind behind this extortion attempt, Joel Greenberg, would later be arrested, charged, and sentenced to five years in prison in August 2022.
Not long after that, the Washington Post reported that career prosecutors recommended no charges for Gaetz, this due to “credibility challenges” for the two central witnesses in the investigation, one of those witnesses being Greenberg. This assertion appears to check out, particularly in light of Greenberg's previous misconduct, in which he fabricated charges of trafficking against a political rival of his. Greenberg also pleaded guilty to a host of other crimes, including stealing from the tax collector’s office and defrauding a government loan program that provided relief for businesses affected by the coronavirus pandemic - just to name a couple.
This brings us to this week when, on February 15th, the Department of Justice announced that Matt Gaetz will not be charged with crimes in the trafficking probe. This is undoubtedly great news for Gaetz and his constituents, but the damage has already been done. For the past two years, one of the most important voices in Republican congress has been effectively sidelined by these allegations. He may have never been officially charged with a crime, but that didn’t stop three anonymous shadow people within the Deep State to weaponize leaks to the media in order to convict him in the “court of public opinion”.
This story underscores a much larger and more significant point: the Deep State's operators understand that their links to the most influential outlets like the New York Times and the Washington Post provide an effective means to damage their political rivals. If the legal system fails to take down their targets, they know they can turn to their friendly contacts in the corporate media to publish anonymous leaks. The dissemination of these stories, with their shield of journalistic credibility, can sway the opinion of millions and damage the reputations and lives of their victims.
